Lubbock, Texas – Last week, ESCA Board member Inland Truck Parts & Service (ITP) hosted Congressman Jodey Arrington (R-TX-19). Congressman Arrington is one of three Republicans newly appointed to the Ways & Means Committee in this Congress. While we have already gotten to know Congressman Arrington and his staff, this was our first opportunity to introduce him to an ESCA member company in his district in West Texas.

ESCA Treasurer Dave Schaefer, CFO of Inland Truck Parts & Service, gave the Congressman a tour of the Lubbock truck repair facility. The Congressman met with ITP employee-owners, learned about the company’s ESOP, and their business practices.

“My visit to Inland Truck Parts reminded me of the power of ownership and how it changes behavior. When our policies reward hard work and expect every American to contribute to society, we create a stronger sense of ownership and responsibility among our citizens,” said Congressman Arrington. “I’m grateful to Dave Schaefer and everyone at Inland Truck Parts for the visit and for all the good work they do for our communities throughout West Texas.”

“As a 100% employee-owned company, we make excellent customer service our first priority. We know how important it is to value people–both our employees and our customers,” said Schaefer. “On behalf of our employee-owners, we thank Rep. Arrington for visiting our facility in Texas and seeing how our ESOP is central to our success.”

Established in 1944, Inland Truck Parts & Service is celebrating its 75th year of performance at 31 locations in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming. Inland provides truck service and repair with a vast parts inventory covering light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, SUVs and 4x4s, as well as in-house component shops and on-site reman capabilities.
