Cincinnati, OH – Last week, ESCA Board member Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCG) hosted Congressman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH-2) at their Cincinnati Interior office. PCG employee-owners provided the congressman with a tour of the office, an overview of their projects in Cincinnati, and background on the type of work the company does nationally. Since being appointed to the House Ways and Means Committee in June, the congressman has visited two Cincinnati-area ESCA Board member companies – Messer Construction and PCG – and has taken an interest in learning more about ESOP businesses in his district.

“I am grateful to the Performance Contracting Group for spending some time with me to discuss their successful employee-owned business model,” said Rep. Wenstrup. “As the employee-owners told me, their stake in the company helps them realize the impact of their work on the success of the overall operation. That’s why I was proud to cosponsor H.R. 2092, the Promotion and Expansion of Private Employee Ownership Act of 2017, which promotes the use of the ESOP model by more businesses.”

Founded in 1987, PCG is headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas and provides preconstruction, construction, EIF, and abatement services throughout the US. The company specializes in mechanical work for commercial, industrial, solar energy, petrochemical, and power generation facility projects. PCG now offers more than 25 construction services, 7 brands with 950 salaried workers, 6,300 skilled workers, and over 60 offices across the country.
