Irving, TX – Last week, Ways and Means Committee member Congressman Kenny Marchant (R-TX) visited ESCA Board company Employee-Owned Companies, Inc. (E-O-C, Inc.) in Irving, Texas. CEO Whit Perryman led the congressman on a tour of the company headquarters where he visited with employee-owners and learned about Vermeer’s new product offerings.
“We’re grateful to Congressman Marchant for visiting us and hearing about our successes with employee ownership,” said Perryman. “In his role on the Ways and Means Committee, we hope he’ll remember the good that ESOPs do for businesses and communities.”
Employee-Owned Companies, Inc. has 250 employee-owners in Texas and Louisiana at their 17 locations. Founded in 1978, E-O-C, Inc. is a full-service equipment dealer specializing in selling, leasing, and servicing Vermeer and Bobcat Construction equipment. E-O-C, Inc. has been a member of the ESCA Board of Directors since 2012.
Following the district event, representatives from additional ESCA Board companies in the Dallas area – Austin Industries, Garney Construction, Alterman, and Performance Contracting – had lunch with Congressman Marchant at E-O-C, Inc. to introduce him to their ESOP companies and ask for his support moving legislation to encourage more employee ownership.
