Lowell, Arkansas – Central States Manufacturing hosted Senator John Boozman (R-AR) at its headquarters and plant in Lowell, AR on July 3rd. It was the Senator’s first visit to the company’s plant. Central States executives gave the Senator a tour, explained the business’s priorities, and emphasized the value of the employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). In addition to ESOPs, the employee-owners discussed manufacturing workforce, immigration and the drug crisis with the Senator. Central States Manufacturing is a manufacturer of metal roofing and siding headquartered in Lowell, AR with more than 650 employee-owners across the country.

Central States Manufacturing has clearly developed and maintained a structure that enables it to produce quality goods while also empowering employees to play a direct role in the company’s direction and success,” Boozman said. “I’m pleased I was able to visit the facility in Lowell to discuss with employee-owners different facets of their business ranging from workforce needs to the manufacturing process and learn more about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I’m optimistic it will continue to thrive for years to come.”

The August congressional recess is coming up and Members of Congress will be looking to visit with constituents and companies back home. District visits are an important part of ESCA’s new member education program and also make an impact in building strong relationships with important Members of Congress and state leaders.
