Home News Rep. Raul Labrador Visits Pacific Steel and Recycling’s New Branch in Nampa, Idaho

Earlier this week, Rep. Raul Labrador toured Pacific Steel and Recycling’s newest branch in Nampa, Idaho.  Managers Mike Cataldo and Larry Stokoe and Vice President of Scrap Operations Pat Kons welcomed the congressman to the facility, showing him how they process the steel.

As the tour continued, Congressman Labrador took time to get to know a number of employees and learn about employee-ownership. The group discussed the benefits of the business model, which according to a 2008 study by the University of Pennsylvania include higher job stability, productivity and profitability. He took great interest in both the employees and their work at Pacific, and expressed interest in visiting the company’s Auto Shredder branch in Mayfield, Idaho.

Employee-owners at Pacific Steel encouraged the Representative to support legislation to preserve and protect the employee-ownership model. Thank you Congressman Labrador for visiting Pacific Steel and Recycling.
