Austin, TX – Last week, Congressman Bill Flores (R-TX-17) visited ESCA Board company Employee-Owned Companies, Inc. in Austin, TX. The Congressman toured the Bobcat of Austin store and met with employee-owners to discuss the unique culture of employee ownership and pro S ESOP legislation, H.R. 2092. Flores said during his visit that he intends to cosponsor the Promotion & Expansion of Employee Ownership Act upon his return to Washington, DC.

“I enjoyed touring the E-O-C, Inc. Bobcat of Austin facility and learning more about their strong culture and operations. It was also a pleasure getting to know their employees and their leadership team as we discussed their business operations and the value of employee-owned S corporations,” said Rep. Flores. “These businesses are essential to our nation’s economic growth and job creation. I am honored to have so many great Texas companies, like E-O-C, Inc., in the 17th Congressional District of Texas.”

“We’d like to thank Rep. Flores for coming to visit our Bobcat of Austin facility and seeing the benefits of employee ownership firsthand,” said E-O-C, Inc.’s Vice President of Communications, Kelli Meyer. “Being employee-owned has motivated our team to pursue new opportunities and use our ESOP to grow retirement savings.”
