Registration is now open for the ESCA 2013 Federal Policy Conference & Lobby Day being held in Washington, DC September 18-20.
We have an exciting agenda planned and will hear from a number of political experts from Capitol Hill, including Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH). A senior member of the Ways and Means Committee and Chairman of the Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee (also known as the “tax subcommittee”), Rep. Tiberi is a strong supporter of S ESOPs and employee ownership.
We’ll be announcing other Congressional and Executive Branch participants shortly and, in addition to hearing from them, you won’t want to miss the chance to network with senior executives from S ESOP companies. ESCA company members will also have the opportunity to participate in ESCA’s biggest lobby day of the year on Capitol Hill to build political support for employee ownership and the S ESOP structure.
Registration forms are available on the home page of the ESCA website or can be downloaded. You can also register online. Completed registration forms can be sent to ljackson@vennstrategies.com. Checks can be made payable to ESCA and mailed to: ESCA, 805 15th Street NW, Suite 650, Washington, DC 20005. As you can see on the registration form for your travel planning purposes, we’ll begin with an opening night reception on Wednesday, September 18th at 6:00 pm and conclude the general session at Noon on Friday, September 20th. Board of Directors, Leadership & Development Council members, and new members/first-time participants will begin events earlier on Wednesday and will receive additional information about their events. Additionally, Board members will meet on Friday following the lobby day.
We will be holding the Conference again this year at the Willard InterContinental (1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20004). Room reservations can be made at the Willard by calling (202) 628-9100 and asking to make a reservation in the “Employee-owned S Corporations of America room block.” Please note that the room block rate is $369/night. September will be a very busy month in Washington and we encourage you to reserve your room right away as our room block will sell out.
