An employee-owned infrastructure firm and member of ESCA’s Board of Directors, HNTB Corporation, has once again earned national recognition from one of the nation’s top engineering professional associations, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

During the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala on April 17, 2012, ACEC announced HNTB had received a “Grand Award” for its work on the U.S. 82 Greenville Bridge in Greenville, Miss., placing it among the top eight of more than 140 projects honored. HNTB also was recognized with six National Recognition Awards for road, rail, bridge and water service projects across the country. This is an impressive industry award and shows that the hard-work from the firm’s employee-owners pays off in a multitude of ways.

Known as the “Academy Awards” of the infrastructure industry, the national American Council of Engineering Companies’ Engineering Excellence Awards honor consulting engineering firms for projects that demonstrate a high degree of achievement, value and ingenuity.

Ranked one of the 100 largest majority employee-owned companies in the U.S. by the National Center for Employee Ownership, HNTB first offered an employee stock ownership plan in 1999, helping their employees build their retirement savings through a direct ownership stake.

ESCA salutes HNTB, whose employee-owners bring great value to the good work the company does!
