Washington, D.C. – Today, Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA) launched its “Faces of Employee Ownership” video campaign. The campaign features eight videos of employee-owners across the country sharing how employee stock ownership plans, or ESOPs, have helped them save for a secure retirement and how they contribute to a positive work environment.

“We meet inspirational employee-owners and hear their success stories every day. It’s important to us that their stories are shared on a larger platform. As Congress addresses the issue of retirement security, we will continue to share stories directly from employee-owners to bolster their work to support and encourage the creation of more ESOPs,” said ESCA President and CEO Stephanie Silverman.

The first video in the eight-part series spotlights Torch Technologies Co-Founder and CEO Bill Roark, who speaks about how a culture of ownership fosters a positive work environment for employee-owners.

“Ownership is a core value of Torch Technologies,” said Roark. “Our ESOP not only provides our employee-owners with strong retirement savings, but also empowers them to come to work every day with the mindset of an owner. I hope our story inspires Congress to work to create more ESOPs.”

Founded in Huntsville, Alabama in 2002, Torch Technologies is a defense contracting company. The company became partially employee-owned in 2004 and became 100 percent employee-owned in 2011. Torch Technologies has over 800 employee-owners located around the globe.
