Washington, D.C. – Today, Employee-Owned S Corporations of America released the following statement commending Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Pat Roberts (R-KS) for introducing a Senate resolution to designate October 2018 as “National Employee Ownership Month.” The resolution, S.Res.665, highlights that employee-owned companies often outperform non-employee-owned companies, are more resilient to economic challenges, give their employees a voice and stake in the company, and provide their employees with greater financial security.

“The tradition of celebrating National Employee Ownership Month is one of the best ways to unite employee-owners and companies that offer employee stock ownership plans, or ESOPs, around the value of employee ownership. It’s a time to shine light on the successes of employee-owned businesses, as well as the impact they have on their communities and employees’ well-being. We are very thankful to Senators Baldwin and Roberts for their continued support for ESOPs and look forward to celebrating employee ownership again this October.”

The Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (“ESCA”) is the Washington, D.C. voice for employee-owned S corporations.
