Conrad, IA – Last week, Ritchie Industries hosted Congressman Steve King (R-IA-4) at their headquarters in Conrad, Iowa. Ritchie employee-owners gave Congressman King a tour of their automatic waterers manufacturing facility and office, as well as an overview of the company and the S ESOP culture that helps to define Ritchie. The congressman is a supporter of S ESOPs and has signed on to pro-S ESOP legislation in the last two Congresses.
“We’d like to thank Rep. King for coming to visit us in Conrad and seeing the benefits of employee ownership firsthand,” said Rob Amundson, Executive Vice President and COO of Ritchie. “Being employee-owned has motivated our tight-knit team to pursue new opportunities and use our ESOP to grow retirement savings.”
Since 1921, when Thomas Ritchie patented the first automatic waterer device, Ritchie Industries has manufactured a complete line of livestock waterers to the highest specifications in the industry. From a single horse Stall Fount to fountains that accommodate 500 cattle, Ritchie fountains have set the standard in quality. Ritchie Industries has more than 70 employee-owners at its headquarters.
