Bolingbrook, Illinois – On Monday, ESCA Board Member, Parksite, Inc., hosted Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL-11) at the company’s Bolingbrook, IL office. Parksite has hosted the Congressman at company facilities in the past, and this visit was another opportunity to showcase the benefits of being an employee-owned business to Congressman Foster. During his visit, the Congressman was given a tour of the Parksite offices and warehouse, met with over 50 of Parksite’s employee-owners, and discussed pro-S ESOP House legislation, H.R. 2258. The Congressman mentioned that he “has a strong appreciation for the ESOP model” as the co-founder of a family business that became an ESOP in 2015.
“As a businessman who co-founded and helped build a company that now has a successful Employee Stock Ownership Plan, I understand the benefits that come with this model of employee participation,” said Congressman Foster. “Parksite has been a prime example of how ESOPs can provide employees with financial success and a sense of purpose. Those who work here are not only employees – they also have an ownership stake in the company, and are invested in the long-term growth of the business.
