Lowell, AR – Last week, Central States Manufacturing hosted Congressman Steve Womack (R-AR-3) at its Lowell, Arkansas headquarters. Central States employee-owners gave the congressman an overview of the company’s business practices and industry, took him on a tour of the company’s warehouse and work room, and introduced him to the employee-owners who live and work in his district. The congressman discussed issues affecting the manufacturing industry and the importance of retirement security for all.
“Being an employee-owned company means our employees are totally invested in and dedicated to the business,” said Vincent Tate, VP of Purchasing & Strategy at Central States. “We come to work every day, give it our all, and build up substantial retirement savings, giving us financial security. We’re thankful to Rep. Womack for visiting us and learning our ESOP success story.”
“Employee-owned companies allow hardworking Americans to invest in themselves and pursue their own success,” said Rep. Womack. “Under the ESOP model, every worker is part business owner. This creates an environment where each person is heavily engaged and invested in the future of the company. It was great to meet with Central States Manufacturing employees and hear firsthand how this structure has allowed their business to thrive. I look forward to their continued growth and prosperity.”
