2012 Federal Policy Conference Registration Open!

Home News 2012 Federal Policy Conference Registration Open!

Registration is now open for the ESCA/Foundation for Private Employee Ownership 2012 Federal Policy Conference & Lobby Day being held in Washington, DC July 25-27.  We have an exciting agenda planned and will hear from a number of political experts from Capitol Hill, including Senator Max Baucus (D-MT).

As Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Baucus is a key leader on tax policy and potential reform.  Securing Chairman Baucus this year as our keynote speaker is an exciting complement to the 2011 fall meeting, when his tax counterpart – House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) – was our top speaker.

We’ll be announcing other Congressional and Executive Branch participants shortly and, in addition to hearing from them, you won’t want to miss the chance to network with senior executives from S ESOP companies and participate in ESCA’s biggest lobby day of the year on Capitol Hill to build political support for employee-ownership and the S ESOP structure.

Registration forms are available on the home page of the ESCA website or can be downloaded by clicking here.  You can also register online by clicking here.  Completed forms can be sent to LSutton@vennstrategies.com and checks can be mailed to: ESCA, 805 15th Street NW, Suite 650, Washington, DC 20005.  As you can see on the registration form for your travel planning purposes, we’ll begin with an opening night reception on Wednesday, July 25th and conclude the general session at Noon on Friday, July 27th.  Board of Directors and Leadership & Development Council members will begin events earlier on Wednesday.

We will be holding the Conference again this year at the Willard InterContinental (www.washington.intercontinental.com).  Hotel reservations can be made at the Willard (1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004) by calling (202) 628-9100 and asking to make a reservation in the “Employee-owned S Corporations of America room block.”  Please note that we were able to secure a lower room block rate this year at $329/night.  July will be a very busy month in Washington and hotels are booking up fast.  We encourage you to reserve your room right away as our room block will sell out.

If you have any questions about registration, the lobby day, or about the Conference in general, please do not hesitate to contact Laura Sutton at (202) 466-8700 or LSutton@vennstrategies.com.  We look forward to seeing you in DC in July!
