Batavia, IL – ESCA Board company Parksite hosted Representative Peter Roskam (R-IL-6) at their Batavia, IL headquarters last week. The congressman spoke with the Parksite executive leadership and employee-owners about the importance and positive attributes of employee-owned companies. Roskam is a cosponsor of pro-S ESOP legislation and has been a long time supporter.

“I’ve done a lot of work as a policymaker, and ESOPs and employee ownership is well designed for company culture and retirement security. Keep it up!” said Rep. Roskam.

“As a 100 percent employee-owned company, we have an eye toward the future, using our ESOP to grow our retirement savings,” said Parksite’s Chairman of the Board, George Pattee. “Employee ownership has been the difference for our successes, so we thank Rep. Roskam for learning our story and sharing it back in Washington.”

Parksite is a building material distributor, marketing branded and specialty building products including DuPont Tyvek® Weatherization Systems, DuPont Azek® Trimboards, Porch and Decking, Fiberon Decking and Railing, specialty Cedar, Nichiha Fiber Cement and various other building products, as well as, DuPont Corian® and DuPont Zodiaq® for residential counter-top and commercial applications. The company established its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1990 and is 100 percent employee-owned. Parksite is headquartered in Batavia, IL and has 650 employee-owners in locations across nine states. Parksite is an active member of the ESCA Board of Directors and joined ESCA in 2006.
