ESCA member companies have a long history of hosting Members of Congress at their facilities. These visits are a great way to educate and share the successes of employee ownership. They are also an excellent way to establish and maintain connections with both local and national policymakers. This month, two Leadership & Development Council members, Forsythe Technology and Parksite, Inc., welcomed Members of Congress to their facilities.

On July 2nd, Forsythe Technology, a 100% employee-owned IT solutions company, hosted Congressman Brad Schneider (D-10-IL) at their sales office in Lincolnshire, IL. As a freshman Member of Congress, this was Rep. Schneider’s first visit to an S ESOP company. During the event, Rep. Schneider spoke admirably of ESOPs and had a great discussion with Forsythe’s employee-owners about the benefits and incentives of employee ownership.

This past Friday, George Brown, a state representative for Senator Rob Portman (R-OH), visited 100% employee-owned Parksite, Inc. – a sales, marketing, and distribution company serving the building industry – in Louisville, OH. Mr. Brown toured the facility and spoke with Parksite employee-owners about their culture of ownership. He reemphasized Senator Portman’s support for policies that would help more Americans gain retirement savings and security through private employee ownership. The Senator has long been a vocal supporter of S ESOPs and recently spoke at ESCA’s Leadership Summit in February.

ESCA thanks Forsythe and Parksite for hosting these events!
